Itβs been a busy time in P2C! π
Primary 2 have had a very busy month!π¦π¦π
We started off by having great fun making (and tasting!) delicious pancakes together. After that, we launched into our exciting new topic of Dinosaurs and Volcanoes.
In Numeracy, the children have been developing their data-handling skills by using tally marks and transferring their information into pictographs.
In Literacy, we revisited onomatopoeia, exploring exciting words to describe volcanoes erupting — like BANG!, WHOOSH!, CRASH! and BOOM! The children used these powerful words to create iPad pic-collages including inserting a photo of a volcano and a selfie of themselves.
We also made a volcano and carried out an experiment using bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and food colouring to make it erupt — it was lots of fun!
Our latest art venture was designing and building junk dinosaurs. We had a very messy classroom but loved it!
