The children were given free rein to create their own poetry about an evacuee's experience.
They were encouraged to use poetry tools such as personification and repetition. The girls and boys edited each others' drafts to look for opportunities to include powerful and interesting vocabulary. Finally they published them using Adobe. WE are VERY IMPRESSED!!! Have a read of a few here.
