Primary 2C March 2026

30th Mar 2026

Primary 2 have had a fantastic and busy start to March, immersing themselves in their exciting topic of Dinosaurs and Volcanoes! The children have been learning through play, exploration and creativity both indoors and outdoors.

They had great fun becoming young palaeontologists by creating their own fossils using casting powder, and have loved taking part in active 'dinosaur brain breaks' with lots of energetic dancing. Outdoors, the children enjoyed a dinosaur-themed egg hunt, searching the trim trail for hidden eggs and working together to spell tricky words like diplodocus—they were incredibly proud of their achievements!

The playground has been full of creativity too, with pupils weaving colourful ribbons and designing their own obstacle courses using blocks and loose parts, building pathways all the way across to the trim trail.

Alongside their topic work, Primary 2 also celebrated 'World Book Day', sharing stories and enjoying the magic of reading together. They also took part in 'Pudsey Day', bringing their favourite teddies to school, which brought lots of smiles and enjoyment throughout the day.

It has been a month full of imagination, teamwork and hands-on learning, and we are so proud of all the enthusiasm and creativity Primary 2 have shown.
